Pulled the boat home from Enid Sunday. Put it in shop. No problems. Go out there today to get ready to go to Sardis after work tomorrow and I find this.
Of course walmart and SAMs they gotta be special order , gateway is closed already. Guess I'll fish another day. Coulda been worse, whatever the heck happened, it coulda been in the road instead of my garage.

Duct tape and super glue.
from the looks of the inside of that wheel, you need to check out them bearings/seals too!!
Mark something is wrong. The wear on that tire is bad.

Big C is right....the wear pattern indicates that the tire has slid at one time or another and that probably is what separated the belts in the tire....You wheel shows grease on the back side which indicates a bad grease seal....its been slinging grease out. Now if it can sling grease out ....then dirt can also get in. It kinda looks to me by looking at the wear pattern on the tire that your trailer wheel bearing locked up long enough to slide your tire. Look at the trad on the left side of the tire....above the break in the tire its worn smooth on the left side....below the break the tread is not worn....also look at the tread all the way across the tire in several places....its not straight...its crooked indicating the belts it the tire have broke loose and slipped.

That's a bias ply tire also...I recommend you get two new radial trailer tires and have someone check and go through your wheel bearings and grease seals on your trailer hubs.

I am checking the seals tomorrow. As far as how it happened. I don't know. I pulled the boat home from Enid Sunday. Parked it in the shop. Went out today to get boat ready for tomorrow. And this is what I found. Gonna check bearing and seals tomorrow. Glad that did not happen on I 55
Got a tire that looks like that, think I'm changing it. I have a spare I keep when hauling my boat.
