I've caught a lot of really big WhitePearch in my time before I found crappie.com and learned that they're called "crappie" and that you're supposed to weigh them.

Like deer hunting! You always wanted that 10 pointer and after putting in your time it happened! It's a never ending goal!Fish early and late. Fish lakes known for 3 lb. fish. And use larger baits!I've never caught a 3 yet but that is my thoughts on how I would better my chances on a 3.There was a man that fished Butla out of a old ski boat with a seat mounted up front! He fished bass size foxy jigs and just about always would have several 3"s in his cooler.Big fish was all he fished for!

Butla or Grenada are for sure your best bets to get a 3 lb+ crappie.. My stupid butt caught the biggest crappie of my life while bass fishing a tournament in the spring of 98... 3.7 lbs on a digital scale... I let it go.
Everyday spent outdoors with good company is worth the time and effort it takes to make it happen. Take a friend fishing!

You've got to add Washington to that list. A few years ago I would've put Bee Lake on it also, but not now. Grenada is, at the moment, THE place to be.
The two best times to fish (when it's raining & when it aint). Proud member of team GitDaFeeshGrease
