    Default Question

In my utility room I have an upright deep freezer, I noticed a very small amount of water on the floor underneath it last nite and thought I had trouble, well I checked it this morning and not quite as much water, nothing is thawing out and its cold as all heck, so wheres the little bit of water coming from???

haha no I don't but that was a good assumption lol. I noticed a small amount of ice build up on it about a month ago and been meaning to take everything out and defrost it, maybe some of it is melting around the edge of the door and running out. Just hope its not going out, that would be a pain.

If it is a frost free freezer, it goes thru a "defrost" cycle to eliminate the frost. The water usually goes into a catch pan, where it evaporates or gets dumped when you notice that it is running onto the floor. It's probably worse in the humid southern states.
If it is not a frost free freezer, I don't have a clue!

check the gasket/seal for mildew around the edge's. if there's a spot it aint sealing good, usally the mildew is the tataltale !! that would be considered condensation if it aint that IDK....
