A bucket truck rolled through at about 11 last night and a MLGW fella stopped by yesterday to give us an update. on the progress. He saw my beard and rugged physique and figured I knew about everything electricity related so he went to town telling me about what was wrong with the power and why ours wasn't on. He said something about single phase and three phase and air conditioning and then lost me.

Can one of y'all explain old electricity leading to houses (my house) and three phase (not my house) like I was five years old? Then can someone offer an answer as to why it makes a difference when restoring power, again, like I was five.

This is what I know about electricity- You can't see it. Don't get it wet. Call an electrician. Worse comes to worst, run like hell if you hear sparks and see smoke.

Need to hit up BigBlue, he can splain all that since that's what he does.

A few years ago I had an electrician install a 30 amp receptacle on out side panel,if the power goes out I just pull the main and plug in a heavy duty cord plug it into the gen. and fire it up.It will run my gas furn. and lights and coffee pot plus a frig or 2.
