    Question Spring Camp boat question

I have a cabin at Hugh White (C01A) for the weekend of spring camp- Friday thru Sunday. I felt like it would be a great get-a-way weekend. I plan to fish Saturday morning and Sunday morning, so I am bringing my boat.

My question is: What should I do with my boat during the cook/get together.

Would you think it would be safe to leave it at the cabin at Hugh White, or is that asking for trouble? If I bring it to the pavilion location, will there be parking for a truck/boat combination? If I just park on the side of the loop road, will the rangers make me move it. I could park it at the Old River boat ramp (there is truck/trailer sized parking there) but that will be well out of eyesight of the pavilion....

    What do other boaters do?

Im going to un hook mine and leave it. It will be a lot safer then in the day light than at night when everyone is sleeping anyway
and if you got a cover just put it on while you are gone

The last time we stayed there at a cabin, we left our boat and didn't have any trouble.

The campgrounds at Hugh White are safe for parking and charging your boat at night. With as many MC.com folks that are staying there.

Think it will be fine at the cabins, might cover it tho. As far as parking at the loop don't think that will be an issue either.

Fished Grenada my whole life. Lived within 20 miles of the lake since I was a kid. Never stayed at the cabins, and NEVER left my boat unattended. I just got to wondering after the BASS murder in Jackson and the "I hate a thief" thread on here. I like my stuff and want to keep it!!!

    Thanks for your advice.
