    Reloads, even a double charge, or home made lead bullets won't do that. They may blow the receiver up. That looks like barrel restriction to me. A pine needle can cause that in some rifles. Mr. Goodtime is more into rifles on a gun site that I belong to. He may know of a good gunsmith that can line you up on how to weld it back together.

    He didn't mention why he posted here in a fishing forum. Just to show us what can happen when you're not careful. A brag on what his son did or wanting a quick fix. No update of what he is doing for it.
