Default For all you bacon lovers

I noticed that every other recipe or meal you guys post has bacon in it. I was in a local food store here and was browsing the shelves when I spotted this item. Never heard of bacon dressing, but I am sure you guys could find a dozen different ways to use it.
The store is called Four Oaks Farm and specializes in fresh cuts of pork as well as local fresh and frozen veggies. Here is a link to the store. They have some nice packages for Christamas gifts too, smoked meats and real stone ground grits and cornmeal. Welcome to Four Oaks Farm
By the way, I am not affiliated with them in any way, I just thought when I was in there today, "Man, I wish the guys from Miss. could see this."

Most everything they sell is locally made. They butcher their own hogs so all the pork items are theirs. I bought some stone ground cornmeal to fry some corn fritters. My niece made some at Thanksgiving and started me wanting some with a bowl of soup. It is soup weather in SC. Been cloudy, rainy, and chilly for 3 days now.

I like cornbead as much as the next guy, but when I got married (many moons ago) my MIL would fry cornbread batter in a cast iron skillet and I never eaten it made that way and really liked it. My mother grew up on a farm and could cook about anything and make it good but she never made corn bread cakes like that.
I guess you call them fritters, they are thin and fried crisp in the pan. We found a restaurant that had them on the buffet and our grandson who was 3 at the time thought they were pancakes and ate about 6 of them, just plain no syrup.
So they are kinda a different treat for me.
