We had our last batch of hens for over 3 years but when the new ones arrived, we got to get rid of them on the "Mrs's terms" - Sad that y'all had to go through that!
Take a senior or a kid fishing soon!

    Hate that for y'all.
Last time I had to noggin pop a dog is was harassing the cows while they were giving birth. All it took was getting the pack leader and the rest took off.

Thanks everyone, I talked to the chicken guy I got them from and he's got me some 4 1/2 month old Rhode Island Reds to replace these with. I'm going down Friday to get them. He gets a thousand at a time from the big hatcheries, raises them up to laying age, and sells them. He makes around $10 per bird. I'm also gonna run a hot wire around the pen, hopefully to prevent it from happening again.
Pam just read everyone's posts and she was amazed at the the way the C.com folks care about each other. She and I are both blessed to have such friends.
