    Satdoc just mentioned it but here's a reminder. Rain can fill up the hub and then freeze. Might crack the casting.
    Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

    Won't burst anything. The end of the hub is open!!!! If you have a seal leek, and water is IN the lower unit, that will freeze and burst depending how much water is separated from the oil.
