    Thanks for suggestions I'm going save a little money by making my own. I am planning on using a short piece of pool noodle to float the line.
    I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

    The float on the line is for dropping the sock off when fighting a BIG fish like a salmon, marlin, or something like that with the boat and going back and receiving the sock. It's not for staying outta the prop. The sock will pull the float down in a heavy wind anyways.
