back at work this morning FINALLY. Did get to fool with the batteries yesterday though. One was BAD low on water. I added a full gallon to it and it still wasn't all the way full. The one I hadn't checked lately cause it's a pain in the butt to check. GRRR. I was hoping since I had been checking the other 2 and they never needed water, this one was OK to. NOT. Just hoping I didn't ruin it. Got to get a little more water, fill it and then charge it before I get it checked out. Think they can check it without taking it out of the boat? It takes me 15-20 minutes just to get it out. REAL TIGHT FIT in the back cubbie hole. You have to turn it sideways, the rotate it around the hole. It won't just drop in.

Why cant you unhook the wires going to the other batteries and test from there. Have a negative lead and a positive lead, still will have some doubts as to connections but if it tests good then you didn't have to take it out of there. Just a thought and what I would do if it were mine, test bad or low take it out then. They can be a pain, good luck.

Connections are as good as they can get. New wire and ends. I just need them load tested and really don;t want to have to take that back one out. It's a knuckle buster. I've bled every time I've taken it out

A gallon? Like a gallon, gallon?

DD, have you considered golf? They make clubs out of solid metal now. And you can straighten solid metal.

PS. The battery is toast, or at least it's bread in the toaster oven on high.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Then don't take it out, load test it the way I said and if its good then knuckles saved, if its bad knuckles is in trouble anyway.

Don, it may just be easier and cheaper for you to hire a guide the half dozen times a year you go fishing.
