    All I can say is I really need to borrow those scales they used to weigh it.

    Last 4 lber I saw was18 1/2 in and 18 circumference.3 in thick

    Ive never seen one Mr Jim but ive yet to see a 3 lber that wasnt right at 17.

    never in a million years will that crappie weigh more than 3# I still say 2.7
    5 pounds must be a typo

    Any 4 that I have ever caught has been 18in plus and length will equal circumference.

    Its not a typo. Its the AR state record caught last year although I seriously question the scales or what was in the belly of the fish.

    might as well have claimed it weighed 6 pounds and make it a world's record. The agfc employee who weighed it must need glasses.
    Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

    Perhaps the picture does not represent the fish at the time it was weighed. It's my understanding that the longer a fish is out of water the more weight it lose.
