Fun isn't it. I need a new cable for my port side. After I replaced all of mine about a year later the cable bent at the operation lever. They don't make the exact cable anymore:

My Stratos has a cable operated valve to drain my livewell. It hasn't worked since I got the boat, stuck in the closed position. And guess where the drain hose and valve are located. Right, under the fuel tank. I bypassed the valve and got a drain plug for inside the livewell. Back in business.

It wasn't as bad as I had figured. I had burnt my gas down to about 5 gallons so the tank wasn't too heavy. If my bilge pump quits I'll have to remove the tank again but at least I know how now.
