    Default Observation

Ok we have had most of the year with the lower length limit rule on Sardis
For me I have caught very few fish that were just over 11 inches and very few throw backs. In fact the majority of the fish I have caught have been 13 inch or bigger. What has everyone else observed?

Same thing here. 11" needs to go. Needs to be 13" and 10. That's a solid days catch and will feed 6. 11" was put in place because of the throwbacks for the past few years. Sardis is healthy with fish and 13" will keep it that way. Besides 13" would make it a challenge. I think I've caught 2 dozen throwbacks all year. Anything under 12 is my throwback.

Same!Game and Fish knew there would be a huge # of fish that would reach 12+"'s after all the throw backs from the year before.By reducing the limit and # of poles those fish would more than likely survive to reach even larger sizes by next year thus improving the breeding stock still in the lake for the next few years! There ought to be some real pigs in that lake next year! If Atm, Feelay, and Handi don't catch them all this winter!Just my .
