Default E-Z Poleholder does it again

Went to MS fall camp needing a solution for a rod rack and saw several and then looked at the one that Gene had on his boat and liked and told him my problem and of course he comes up with a solution. I needed to span about 8 feet between racks and Gene said that the poles wouldnt take it so the idea was to put another rack in between and instead of fastening it down to run a tube down the top and let it hang from it. The idea was to use square tubing just like everything was made of but I am trying 1/2 inch schedule 80 plastic pipe on it that way it will swivel out of the way to open my rod locker. I put a support on the bottom of it to take out the bounce and hoping that if i want to cover the boat I can just undo the ends and pick it all up in one piece and lay it down so that cover will fit. It will now hold my short poles too. sorry about the sideways pic cant figure out to turn it
    Thanks Gene.Name: rod rack.jpg

I put a third one on mine too....mine are EZ's first design rod racks........I like them because they are low profile and I can fish using my rear rod holders with rods in my rod rack without any interference Name: asydyqu9.jpg

Metal fabricators tend to be some sharp thinkers. Got a friend here in jonesboro that is a wizard with a torch and welder. You need it he like ez will figure it out.

The guy is good for sure. Wish I had learned more about welding when I had the chance.

Btw, G, I have that same fish measuring board and its nice, Feesh and I figured out that the fish were flopping so bad on the metal ones because it gets so hot laying out in the sun, that plastic one doesn't get near as hot and the fish don't flop like crazy when you lay them on it.

Thanks for the kind words. I was just glad to see that hair brained idea really worked. Caused me to change my design, for the better.

I can take all loose as one piece and lay it down in the boat or take 8rods out at once.
