Don't worry about having it at a hotel just leave it at the campgrounds with some of our folks instead of taking it into town, they gonna be stacked up like cord wood out at the north end of the dam.

Maybe 4 or 5 miles, across town (better) 7 or 8 miles.

Got site 19 and will be there Thursday evening, fish Friday and Saturday and come back home Sunday. Being I have never seen this lake. What ramp is best to use this time of year when camping on the northwest side of the lake? Also can I use my Dynamite there like we can on Pickwick?

Dynamite is more than welcome, boat launching in the sing depends highly on the wind that day, expect to drive, its just part of fishing this lake. I live on Turkey Creek and sometimes have to drive 25 miles to launch. Leave that up to weather and fishing reports.

Good deal and not an issue on the driving. As even here at Pickwick, its 13 miles to around 30 miles. Like you depends on where and what the winds are doing.

Not sure about everyone else, but I find Google Earth is the best scouting tool there is for these lakes. Run though the years and see the lake from full to less then half full. Gives you a bird's eye view of the lake without water (Botton left of the screen has a date click that and you can go through years of water levels) on what I bet most fish in the spring time. Then using this gives a lake map I use both and man it saves time on finding the honey holes in lakes I have never set foot on. http://www.navionics.com/en/webapp
