I would rather spend a few hundred dollars catching more fish, than remembering one fish I caught in the past. Think of how many minners (bandits, jigs, poles, gallons of gas, fishing line) you could buy with the money spent on one crappie. I mounted a pair of big deer when I was younger. They both hang on the wall of my wife's biology classroom now. They get old, and after a few years they just get in the way. Save your money and go fishing!!!

I enjoy walking into my house every afternoon and seeing my duck and fish mounts. I believe it is money well spent on something so memorable

Just this year alone ive driven over 8000 miles, bought 150 bandits, 20 plus poles and spent no telling how much on minners and new jigs. What I havent been able to buy is a 3 pounder but I can promise you when I do that baby is going on the wall. I basically dont duck hunt anymore but just seeing the mounts I have from past years each day brings back great memories and the older we get memories are often times all we have left.
