    Default Fried!

Ever notice that's it's always something?I had a nice dinner going last night with hamburger steaks in onion mushroom gravy, rice, purple hull peas,Brussels sprouts. Dinner was half way through cooking when" BOOM". The stove cook top fried! It kicked the breaker so no other damage occurred.I finished everything in the oven that is separate and the microwave.Still turned out good just a little unnerving for a minute.Got on the net this morning and looked around and found a Frigidaire with a tilt up lid, same dimensions as the cut out in my counter for $249.Got to Lowes and the guy helping me says. Hey, I have one in white that someone ordered and decided they didn't want. They decided on stainless so they returned it. I'll let you have it for $175, full warrenty. It didn't have a scratch on it. Even had the wiring harness already on it.Thank You Lord! Here are a few pics!

I bet that was a shocking experience! Glad everything worked out in the long run.

Hate to hear that Slab, those cooktops aren't cheap either, we have cut cabinets and countertops for a several people so they could put a slide in stove and oven back in because of the price of the cooktops.

Good thing Feelay didn't have to show up at your house. You can get a good deal from the Home Improvement centers every now and then. Save that old top I can use it, I'll get it monday.
I was going to get some 2x4x10s at Home Depot a few years ago. The guy offered me 1 1/2 pallets of 2x6x9 studs for $1. each. I think I have some 20 of them left.
