    This is an interesting topic, I just saw the long thread on the main page. I guess the only reason they are shutting down is public safety being that there are no rangers on the water and it is a liability issue.

    Can't remember the last time I saw a Ranger on the water. Most of them just ride around in their trucks burning fuel.

    True, it is usually the Game Warden that you encounter on the water. I just haven't come up with any other reason to shut the ramps down.

    G can they cite you on federal regulations? Figured it would be out of their jurisdiction.
