    Do you mean a Remington 7600 or is the 760 a model that the 7600 replaced? I'm not old enough to remember if that's the case.

    If you don't mind the idea of an extended eye relief scope, I remember seeing a rail that uses the rear sight dovetail and existing screw holes. I think the maker was XS Sights. Looked into it a few years ago but decided I didn't want the weight of the scope out there forward of the receiver.
