On my previous boat I ran four pumps on timers, an air pump, and two fish finders. This load regularly killed the Group 24 575 CCA cranking battery the boat came with. I upgraded to a Group 24 800 CCA battery; this was an improvement, but still died on occasion. That's when I started carrying jumper cables.
I put an Exide Group 27 1000 CCA battery in my new boat, with no problems thus far. But I now only have two pumps on timers, an air pump, and two fish finders.
If it were me, I would go with upgrading the existing cranking battery.
