    After that rash of gas thefts last year I checked into getting a locking gas cap for my truck and found out that the on board computer would not recognize it and the chech engine light would stay on. Other problems too, I was told.

    Major with all the hardware you carry, a thief just don't know what he is getting into messing with your truck.

    My mechanic hates those things. My Honda did the same thing with the check engine light until I went back to a regular gas cap.
