    Default I was reading

I was reading a article in American Hunter where a man in Indiana was keeping a eye on his sisters property because a lot of folks dogs and cats were coming up missing from around there. He just happened to be looking out the back window just before dark when he saw what he thought was a bobcat. He got his gun, slipped out there and popped it.Got him a flash light and went out there and it turned out to be a Leopard like in Africa Leopard. The man freaked. He called Game & Fish who immediately took it into possession. At the time they did not know where it came from!Folks got too many stupid pets! From the size of it the cat appeared to be a juvenile!

Dad's family used to tell about the panther hunts back in the day around Sat's stompin grounds. Said the scream would make every hair on ya stand up. I dunno about black panthers, but the florida panthers that look like a smaller mountain lion are still reported from time to time

I know this is a little farther North, but we have had a pair migrate thru our area for 20 plus years. Neighbor has a cave with bones, etc., in it and the fish and game folks claim that's where they hold up when they come thru. Several folks have seen them in the fall. Really kinda kewl, if you think about it.

I saw a huge brown cat with a huge tail ten or so years ago while bow hunting. I'm guessing close to 100 lbs. glad I didn't have a gun because I would have shot it. I thought then it was a panther but now I'm thinking couger. This was right off the bluff ten or so miles from stray horn.
