it has actually one of the better vehicles we have owned--brakes, tires, and oil changes is all that has needed to be done on it. Only has 117K on it--I'd buy another one

I have a 87 3/4 ton Chevy trk that use to have one of those electronic metered carbs on it and started having a bunch of trouble with it. When I finished with it I had put a new intake, a real carb, new msd streetfire dist, purple horny glass pacs, headers, cat converters. Got rid of the factory fuel tank and mounted a 50 gal fuel tank in the back. Changed the water pump while I had everyting off so I didn't have to go back and do it. The only problem I have is I can't keep a fuel pump more than about 300 miles. But I have figured out how to fix that. Of course it doesn't have a lot of the stuff it had under the hood when it came from the factory. It has the old 4 speed truck tranny in it along with new clutch components. All I can say now is talk to me sweetheart as I accelarate. Oh yhea.

The engine service light came on in Debbie's car. I went to the auto parts store for them to plug the tool in to check what was wrong. The guy told me all that showed bad on his computer. Then he told me to add a bottle or 2 of injector cleaner to the fuel tank and take the rubber boot off of the intake to clean the trottle body with some spray cleaner. Now I stop at Dollar Tree every other month and buy 4 bottles of injector cleaner and add 2 to her car and 2 to my truck. No problems in 4 years.
