I took a shot and bought one, checked out through Amazon and used my Amazon CC so I can return it or dispute the charges if it doesn't pan out, but for a $100 bucks it was worth a shot. I'll let you know when it arrives if I got a box of rocks or the FF.

The one in the ad does not have Down Imaging. It is just sonar/GPS. The 597 you paid $489.00 should be the 597 ci HD DI. Still $100.00 is a good price for a 597.

Nope, ive got a 597 ci and paid a little under 500 for it so his price is correct. I wanted gps and wanted to use my us2 so I had no need for DI on the front.

Wrong. The regular sonar without di is 489. Di won't work with my us. Just wonder if it is head only or something. The 597 is 640x640 and has great resolution. I remember the first LCDs were 32 pixels or so.

I stand corrected, That's a great price then. I hope it turns out to be a good unit for you.

Is it the 597 hd ci? That is what I have, would love another one for my dash. HD is missing from the description, does this mean less clarity?
