    Default Bandits and the heat.....

Had one of my clear crank plano boxes setting on the deck yesterday in the direct sun. Box was a little warm to the touch but nothing to bad. Apparently is was warm enough that the bandits in it didnt like it, lol. They are all still usuable but just look a little different now.

    Get a B & B box and you won't have that problem.

Depending on your storage I like the special mate boxes better. Think the clear boxes kinda magnafy the sun rays.

I always have a towel on the deck to wipe my hands with....If I have a plastic box out with baits in it...I just keep my towel laying over the box....problem solved.

Ya, I will put the boxes back in the bag or lay a towel over em for now on. I knew people talked about em splitting before so I just wanted folks to know it dont take a lot of exposure to cause this. We tried a lot of different colors yesterday and I just left a couple of boxes out. Only the top box had this happen since it was directly in the sun. Easy to prevent if you understand this before it happens. Lesson learned here.

Put you a coat of Sallys hard as nails clear polish over them cracks to reseal and keep paint from pealing back. Crappie cowboy can probably help you with the polish.
