regardless of what a placard says.........I mean, who's going to know? If it's concealed, nobody knows your carrying unless you tell them. If an alarm
goes off and I'm looked at cross-eyed, I'll just shrug my shoulders and if asked, I'll tell them my pacemaker caused the alarm to go off. Mine goes to
church, weddings, funerals and anywhere else I feel like going. Just the way this Texan does things. (No, I don't have a pacemaker......) And I ain't
gonna open my shirt unless she opens hers first. I normally just smile and keep on walkin'. (Unless she opens her shirt...........of course) I'm all look
and no touch now anyways. Uh........ what was we talkin' 'bout anyways?
Have absolutely no prob with folks who have their conceal carry, none whats so ever. to say you wont spend money wherre a store has a placard up is basically shooting yourself in the foot cause you are gonna see em everywhere, be sure not to put any money in the pay boxes at the COE ramps or buy an annual permit, dont go to the courthouse either to get a tag or anything. To say you should be able to open carry in a business or someones home or where ever you want is obsurd.
I am done on this subject, not even sure I need a placard cause I think its illegal to have a firearm in a fireworks store anyway due to the FIRE part in the firearm, will do some checking on that.

No such restriction for a fireworks location from the concealed carry laws. Can't say for sure on open carry, but I doubt it.

I don't think it's absurd to choose to support businesses that support the 2A. The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed....don't remember reading anything about bearing concealed arms. It's the same principle as freedom of speach. I'd never burn a flag, but the same freedom that allows me to say O is the debil protects me and the flag burner. I support toothless crack heads being able to pack heat just like me....however, once they get a felony conviction, they no longer have the right. And once they pull a weapon on me or mine.....well, it's game on. Now if I'm in a store that says I can't have a weapon, who is gonna win? Me, the guy that tries to follow the law, or the toothless crack head who just happens to have not gotten convicted of that felony yet?

Your store, your rules. My wallet, my money. I think that's fair.

Think you said, correct me ifn I am wrong, that you would continue to conceal carry. What I want to do has no effect on you at all Chris.
So I guess you are for open carry at the bank as well??? All this is gonna do is have every cop and every security guard wanting to see your ID, check you age and check to see ifn you have a felony conviction.
All for protecting your family, I do and will protect mine.
Sure hate you wont be fishing Nader no more being as its illegal to open carry there, gonna miss ya for sure.

Cant believe this thread is still here, very political and according to C.C rules isnt supposed to be here.

Its called moderator discretion........I choose not to move it because it has remained civil and has not gotten out of hand. So chill out and have a good fourth and leave the moding to the mods....It works better that way.

Btw, you don't have to be a felon to be rejected for a concealed carry. If u have ever had a misdemeanor for a controlled substance you can't have one either. Plenty legal to own the gun but just not legal to carry.

Like other subjects, if you like it you leave it. If you don't, you delete it.
I have an IC-CC permit, I carry everywhere. If working in the yard, it's on my belt, open carry. If a buzzer goes off, dang stainless steel pins in my leg.
As the rule reads now if you have an IC patch on your CC permit or a CC permit. The piece must be conceled. If no permit, it has to be open carry. Yea right, who read that rule. With the IC patch there are very few places that I can't carry. In a courtroom the judge must announce "no weapons", if so the county deputy can't carry either.

I disagree that it has no effect on me. The fact that there's a sign prohibiting open carry makes the business a target, or at least more of a target that the one next door with no sign.

Under the new law(an the old concealed law). A LEO has no basis in which to detain anyone simply for carrying a weapon. That's been adjudicated repeatedly. And they certainly have no right to demand ID etc. that being said, I disagree with pushing that envelope like many have done. If I'm ever questioned ill happily self identify etc.

I'll be on COE property assuredly. Currently, I have no choice. But I do have choices in other things.

They don't have the reservoirs signed. Unless you read the fine print. And, I already own them. I'll stick to not patronizing the businesses that will miss my business. In example the ones that are economical conservatives and social liberals. That is about all the Second Amendment supporters can do. Business owners have a right to dictate what happens on their property, and I have a right to shop elsewhere. Oh, and go vote. If ya'll haven't noticed voting has made a huge difference in Mississippi in the last couple of years.

Oh, and a PS....I fully support open carry at the bank and every place else too. I don't think there should be any restriction any where.
