Since I'm from West Texas, I grill and smoke a great deal - couple times a week at least. Instead of the typical BBQ flavor, I sometimes do different things. We'll start with a marinade of soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, ginger, fresh garlic, fresh green onions, rum, etc. with fresh cut ribs:

The smoker has to be just right, nothing fancy, just the old fashion way:
They look about ready after a few hours:
In the mean time, we ground our own ground meat with eye of chuck and short ribs. We don't care for the pink slime stuff and whatever else they put in there:
Sorry, forgot to put the crank bait in that last picture. Thanks for looking![]()

The winning recipe will automatically be published on the home page at exactly 9pm tonight. Although the forum software is kinda funny. The actual winner may be able to see his article already there (because he is the author of the post). I'm not 100% sure about this, that's why I say he may be able to see it. I can always see everything cause I'm the site administrator. shhhh
There were many good entries. It was a tough decision. Tracker123 kinda put it all together with a pair of great photos that either woulda deserved to be on the cover of a magazine.
The other pictures that caught our eye were dondon's pic holding a piece of that smoked butt, Ducker's Pork Chop plate full, and Slabo's Crappie Plate. Cool contest, thank you all for participating.
