Well how did Torch end up yesterday? He get the boat loaded? I've been playing around with jigs and gnats, both loaded up with minnows, and while I ain't been limiting out, I have caught decent numbers and size of fish. I've been watching the crankers out there, and they seem to be catching a good many more fish.

How deep are you guys running them things? Oh and how fast are you trucking along? It seems that regardless of depth I am catching more fish moving quicker than I do going slower. I don't really know how fast I'm traveling, but I alternate from 2 tor 3 on the trolling motor depending on the wind strength and my direction. I run from about 15 to 26 feet of line out, and the fish seem to biting equally well at all the depths. And yesterday was Pink day for me. Anything pink caught fish.

I'm going to learn this deep water fishing if at all possible. OH one more question for you pros: is fishing in the winter (actually cold days not regular Mississippi winter days because I catch fish shallow on sunny, luke warm winter days) pretty much the same as summer? Depth and speed wise I mean.

Think he wound up with 18. We were running from 50-90 ' of line out. With braid they run a little deeper than the charts. I figure the 50' lines were running 8-9' and the 90's were running 12-14'. Pulling at 1.8 mph.Pink was good for yesterday and today.
