While working nights in the early months of 2001 and living in Horn Lake, I backed my old truck into the driveway one morning. I got a citation for have a junker. It was wrecked on the way home some 6 months earlier. I never fixed it, it passed inspection, never went to court about it, I was driving it daily.
The neighbor got a citation for my blackberries growing on her backyard fence.

Sounds like the main industry in Hornlake is writing citations. I would think that all of you that are getting these when they really aren't needed should all get together and go to a council meeting after you have gotten this on the agenda. Then address the fact that you are being haressed.

The rules help some. Some yards would look like junkyards, trash dumps and recycle centers.
Can't park on the grass. One yard down the street from one of my houses is all concrete. Some 9 to 11 cars are parked there daily.
Out building/s can take up a percentage of your backyard in Horn lake. I have 4 in my daughter's backyard with 2 square foot to spare. Kid's playhouse counts.
Southaven wants to limit you to one out building.
While painting one house I took the numbers down and gave them a fresh coat in the backyard with another color. When I got back to the front of the house I had a citation for no number. I painted the area and laid the numbers on their sides until the day before court date. Never went to court about it.
How many people have a 4 foot chain link fence for their backyard if any and put up one of those blow up swimming pools? That shouldn't be allowed anywhere.

I trimmed all the trees on dads six acres and cut all the fire wood out of it. Put the rest on the road. Had about half what you have drew. They picked it up without any problems.
My brother in law laid a double drive and built it around the water meter. The city gave him a permit and said that he could build the concrete around the meter.
I have never had issues yet being in the city. But one day I want out. I wasn't raised in a subdivision.
the view is better from the backroads

I stopped at the store for a coke, corner of Cooper and Central the other day. Big sign for PBR but the space was empty. Same for Miller High Life bottles. There is a couple of recycle boxes south of Cooper and Young that takes glass, closes place to me.

My youngest son lives in Horn Lake, just bought a few acres in the 301 and Baker rd. area. A few black locust on the place. Pile them up, call the county for a permit and burn it.
