Size: 32.3 KB what length poles to use would work best ? Run motor with right hand . Two out the side one out the back or one out side and two out the back . 1542 war eagle boat . Planning on pulling with big motor . Could do it from front but trolling motor is 12 volt . Which way would work best ?

Mine are close like that, just have four foot of rod length difference and you'll be fine, I'd pull em all off the side too so you dont have to be turning so much to get the back one.

I use a 14 and a 10 out each side at the back and two 8's straight out the back. If your by yourself coach your gonna need a way to steer the boat straight while you are reeling in a fish....you can't slow down or your lines will tangle. When I used to pull cranks with my outboard and a trolling plate...I tied the steering wheel with a bungie cord. I have a terova now so I pull with it and have it locked on course with the I-Pilot much better. I can see a different boat and set up in your future if your going to spider rig and pull cranks.

If you pull all off that rite side you could put a brella on that left side to make some shade. Another thing is to be as comfortable as you can, nuttin like catching slabs on a HOT summer day!!

Closest to motor put a 6/8 ft pole angled over top of motor, skip next one, put a 6/8/10 in the next one, then last one put longest pole. The middle holder with pole can be adjusted to give you enough clearance from other 2. Get you a 3 in round ring from tractor supply hook 2 stout bungie cords to it. Anchor one on either side and slide over tiller once you are in trolling mode. That should keep you going straight while reeling but you want enough give so you could turn in an emergency situation or make course corrections. Poor mans auto pilot.
