Have both revolver Taurus 357 mag and Browning semi-auto!! Both are good and will do the job!!But am a Rifle/shotgun.. Just my two cents (not worth much) but a handgun has a short barrel and is hard to keep in front of you on the target espically the semi-auto.The revolver gives me a little more time to aim(find the target) and hit what I am aiming at!! The revolver is safer around Kid's also keep one empty chamber vs the semi-auto your trusting a safety to keep from accidentaly going off(firing)!!! Again just my two cents worth!!!
