Got a 3 blade stainless prop for an older 200hp Merc laying around. I got 2 but they are from one end of the spectrum to the other as far as performance. 14 1/4X21 hole shots very well but turns up too high and the 4 blade 14X26's hole shot sux and doesnt turn up high enuff.

Guess not huh???? Would luv to try a couple before I buy one, dont want to drop 600 bucks and not be happy with the thang!!

Some boat dealers will let you try a prop or two out until you get the right one if you buy the prop from them or you could tell a good prop shop what you got and whats going on....lot of times they can tell you exactly what you need just from your info

Rees I run a 25p on my 150 at 5600
I think u don't have enough prop for the 200 IMO

the 21 is no where near enuff, when I raise the motor back up the rpms will climb. Looking to try a 24 or 25 with a good cup, hoping the cup will help take the popoising out in the midange.
Trying to get out of the hole with the 4 blade on there the motor bogs at 2000 rpms and really struggles, with the 21 3 blade it jumps out of the hole but hurts the top end big time.

I know, I know, go to a prop shop, good one in Mempho, good one in Jackson, both over 100 iles away, sux being in the sticks!!!!! sometimes.

Kdavid, what kinda prop you running??
