Supposed to be "diamond in thr rough" according to MS Sportsman. I fished it a lot back in my firefighter days, decent crappie (mostly black), used to be really good bream in both ends (wooded and shallow) and really good bass (5 fish limit and a slot, I believe). There is a new concrete ramp and a drop box for fees. I am gonna try some bream fishing in there Saturday mornng (first time in there in 20+ years though)
Oh..... there be gators as well. Lots of gators.
Crappie Wall Hanger
used to green carp fish there. One of my favorite lakes in MS. The lake is surrounded by big cypress and tupelo gums from 6" to 6'. The north end is where most people go to crappie fish. I used to bass fish straight across from the ramp and to the south about 200 yards. Never caught many bass, but the ones I caught were nice.
It looks like you are trespassing when you are going to the lake since it is literally in the middle of about 2000 acres of cotton. I would love to wet a hook over there again, just too far from my current location.
