    Naw...............just add a section of 4 links from the tug boat chains hooked to an electric Minn Kota anchor mate. One set up on each side off the transom. Run switches to front. Sell the socks. Coat the chains in black to keep that covert ops look and use black rope on the anchor mates.

    I've seen that setup before. It's tempting for sure.

    I thought it was overkill until I watched it being used next to me as I blew by. They were able to adjust without leaving their seats and rods and also when got ready to run back up wind.

    Ifn you wanna stay with the sock route Cabelas sells a 77". It can be rolling white caps and I can stay .5 or less.
