    Usually my minners just dry up and turn into jerky.

    I did that once, when I was about 18, in my grandfathers boat. They stayed in there several days before gramps realized it, called me up, and made me clean up my mess. The only way to get em out was to dip em out with the minner net. They just turned into rotten fish stew! Bones, scales and meat floating around in greenish-black livewell water. It was terrible, and I will NEVER EVER do that again. Lesson learned!!!!
