I grew up in Philadelphia. Went to Neshoba central high school and had to play Louisville every year in football. We use to carry a boat every saturday in the the back of our truck to the dam and walk it to the water. Hook a trolling motor and head out to where all the white cow birds nest. I have literally caught 500 bream in one day and came out cover head to toe in bird crap...lol. We use to kill the chinquepin this time of year as well. I would love to crappie fish Bluff Lake now for about a week knowing what I know now.
Hey, now that think of it. I had a friend send me a picture 3 or 4 weeks ago of a man that caught a limit of crappie behinf the spillway in the running water. I bet i can find that picture.

What years did you play HS football?

Know the trees you are talkin about. Those birds nest there every year. Just that one bunch of trees and there is always fish around them dang birds. The lake has gone down in the last few years, they keep it drained down so low and the weeds and drilla have almost taken it over, its hard fishing but there are still a few good fish left in it. Had a friend limited out on big ole males around those trees last Wed.
