    Default Steering Question

Noticed on 2002 Skeeter, while on plane, turning left the wheel seems to slip/jerk. Like there is loss of steering. What could this be? Thanks, pb

Check your seals on the steering cylinder in front of your engine. If its leaking, you need to have it replaced IMMEDIATELY. You could completely lose steering control if you don't get it looked at. It needs to be bled if you have a leak. The air in the line causes the jerky feeling at the helm, and if enough air gets in, you can lose complete steering capabilities.

If you live in the Memphis area, give me a call. We can look at it, and/or fix it for ya.

Good advice. Could be a dangerous situation.

Make sure to bleed the lines if you refill the reservoir from a very low level. After I replaced my seals, still had slack in the steering. Makes a world of difference, much much safer too.
