    Default Bait well

I'm looking to make my bass bout front deck rod locker into a bait well. Part of it anyways. What equipment would I need, Oxygen, pumps, would I need a hole in the side of the hull to drain and add water? Just curious, hate clutter all over the deck of my boat and dead minners.

You got livewells in back and front now?? Use my front livewell for fish and back one for bait well. Use a small minner bucket up front with only a dozen or so in it, use lake water for for the small bucket.

My big livewell is in the back, but I have a buddy that could do a fiberglass job to put the bait up front. I can't store any rods over 7' in the rod lockers, so they're just extra storage now. I want to put dual fat sacks up front possibly, that I could pump up to reduce bow bounce, just trying to figure out how I am going to like it best. Got a TON of work to do, so might as well get it how I like it since its stripped down to bare bones now. Motor still cranks and runs great, just ugly gel coat and wiring is shot.

Didn't you buy another boat last month to avoid doing all this work?

I did, but its a 16ft. I can fish out of it, and I will be able to take my time and fix my other boat the right way, not the quick way. Plus it drives me crazy to have a motor that nice and solid boat sitting in the back yard, doing nothing. I'm going to sand it down myself and put a new gel coat on it. If I mess up, chalk it up to experience, sand it again, and do a better job. I have time to spend, but I don't have the funds to buy another 18 ft glass boat and 150hp motor.
