Go to that site KDavid said. Figure out how to run a fill off your existing live well pump. Might want to install one of their remote valves to accomplish that. Then run you a dran from front to rear if possible. You want to stay away from punching holes in that glass up front if possible. You as so have to look at a overflow. Might want to rigg a bottom drain with a plug with pipe as a overflow. While you have the decks out see if you have some place you could put in some lead bricks. Go to the tire shops, get a bunch of old wheel weights. Make you a mold out of 1 by and pour some thin bricks you could stack in and have your buddy glass in a place to install them. A couple hundread pounds will hold it down. And that motor should Cary it ok. Sometime this morning I'll get a picture of my drain pipe so you can see what I'm talking about.

Yea cray, I know what you're getting at. I saw them on the website, keeps from having a ton of water in the well, and overflowing. Yesterday I was looking into the location of the baitwell. The up front would be a booger to run all the hoses to and requrie a hole. I have 2 rear compartments that are large enough to hold a ton of bait. Plus the livewell is next door to it, so the hoses wouldn't be a pain to run. may see what I can do with that instead of the rod locker. It isn't too terribly expensive for all the parts, so I may try to put something together back there. Thanks for the input

I predict that If you sand your boat and re gel, you will like the results. Never heard of a newbie spreading all the elbow grease and backing up and doing it again. It's a ton, ton, ton of work and at least 4 tons of it is by hand.

Wannabe...

Well I have a 6 gallon air tank, orbital sander, and boat stripped down to nothing already. Friends father-in-law does boat restoration for a living, so can get some help along the way. Its going to be a slow go of it, but I figure I have enough mechanical knowledge to figure it out. Been reading on it for a few months, its like painting a car, with a bigger tip, and paint that cures faster. I've talked to some body shop guys that said they could do it, but wouldn't stand behind it since it wasn't their specialty. I've got access to spray guns, power tools, basically most everything I need. It will be about 7 times cheaper to buy the equipment and do the work myself than to tow it to arkansas and have it done professionally. If nothing else, I will sand the boat down and let a professional gel it, since the sanding is the time consuming part. should knock the price down a good bit, but, if it all works out, I may be able to earn some side money doing it.
