We really shouldn't have to explain or reference anything.....you guys should know that we wouldn't do something if we did not think it was justified. We are one of you, representing you, and trying to take care of you.....while at the sametime trying to adhere to Slabs wishes and standards for the site. We are all supposed to be friends here and there should be some trust.

And as far as direction....if we think its going in a direction that is going to disrupt the boards or cause a rift or hard feelings or something.....yes, I would say thats reason enough to lock a thread.

Heck I wish we had the big 4 in our back yard. Not sure of all the history with Grave Digger, but I do see the locals thinking the lakes are theirs and don't blame them a bit. I would hate to see all the fish in my backyard leave not only with out of staters but the ones that just show up for the spawn. We have had a place in MS since 1978 and have been going down before that. I may be an out of stater but I feel like a local. The worst part is not being able to get a parking spot and the occasional guy that will come help you fish a snag. lol It's all good though. As it has been said, if you're out fishing, at least you ain't at work, right?

I'm no biologist but I think everything boils down to water. If there is enough water for the spawn all is well (see end of 2012 first of 2013) if water is low then at some point the good spawn fish are caught and the bad spawn crop is a low population and things could get dicey. The lakes are for flood control so the fish have to fend for themselves so to speak. The choices that are made just have to have a purposeful reasoning based on solid facts and proper input based on those facts. Communication is key as it is with any functioning body whether it be a company, govt, etc--that is dealing with a public that is quick to judgement and demanding of answers especially when it is dealing with their money. Proper communication can make a plan (even if the plan is a bad one) Bad communication can sink a good plan. IMO I truly think they have proper data (theses people aren't rookies) but have not communicated everything to our liking.

I'm glad the one of the big four is in my back yard. And I'm also sure that a lot of business here in the Sardis, Como, Harmontown area are real happy a few yanks come and spend their hard earned money here. Holiday lodge, como steak house, the dam store, lakeview store, local cabin rentals, ect. They would have a tough time if it wasn't for the people who don't live here didn't spend that money. Just my two cents.

I wish you could have been at the meeting to see their data. It's amazing what the 12" MLL and 20 fish creel limit did to the fishery. Now they want to liberalize the creel limit and blame because the fishing pressure is too great. How much sense does that make. I say six poles for everyone!

Now we've had enough. And I'm not explaining why. And I'm closing the thread.
