fish stretching

just wondering have yall ever caught a fish that say was 15 inches long and weighed say 2.46 pounds but a year later it was 18 inches long and weighed 3.12 pounds ................or caught say five fish and all of them are say around or close to 2 pounds but a year later they are 18 and 19 inches long and the all over 3 pounds with the biggest 3.78 well i have seen it with my own two eyes it can be done its called fish stretching for those of you who don't believe me pfffffftttt on you how does one stretch a fish i have tried but it got messy can someone help me out on this

In the days before cameras and photo proof I figure we have all been off base before but to just blatantly make up stuff is comical.
