Amen, my buddy that I talked to last night is one of the coolest cats I know. He can be so mad he wants to spit nails and still hold it together. Kinda like Swayze in Road House "Be Nice" kick their buts but be nice.

I'v never called'm my fish.I can't afford to blow money but I pay $35 for my sportsman license and that covers everything but saltwater I belive that's cheap I be for raising it to $75.Like I said our out of state license are some of the lowest around. If I wanted to go out of state deer hunting in TROUPHY deer state my fee's would be high or have to apply for a tag. Also I don't have a problem with all out of staters but have had more problem's with them compared to in staters.I have had out of staters see me catching fish and come get in the top with me no in staters have done this, had a oos bumping me in the back with his boat trying to fish the top I was in,had them boat up a knee deep ditch bumping the cover with their boat messing the fishing up for the other people in the ditch and have been talked to like a dog at the boat ramp over something that was their fault.I know we have bad apples here also but have never had these thing's happen with locals (in state) fisherman.Had 1 last yr with his boat parked across the mouth of the ditch going to the pecan orchrd and would not move so others could get in and fish we parked our boat and walked around him and took a lashing for that. This was not started to bash people from anywhere in my first post I ask for views on reducing pressure and the thing's I said were just ideas so speck or anyone else let's hear some ideas differant than mine.I don't like or want more rules don't really care how many poles are used I fish the way I fish cause that's what I can afford and have said many times anybody want to offer up an invite to go trolling and show me what it's about I'm willing if I aint got to work that day and my work is pretty flexable. In the end $$$$ is what matters to the people in Jackson not protecting the resources.
Digger, a Mississippi resident fishing license is $8.00. A Mississippi Non Resident fishing license is $50.00. Lets keep it apples to apples to start. I hold Non Resident licenses in Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas as well as Mississippi. All of those states are $50.00 for Non Resident FISHING license. You want to compare fishing permit fees in one state to trophy deer hunting fees in another state. Apples and oranges!!! Your suggestion is to double resident fishing license and triple non resident fees.
I say if that will fix the problem, lets raise both resident and non resident fees to $500 a year. While we are at it, lets require EVERYONE to buy a permit to be able to fish. No more under 16 or over 65 exemptions. That should keep plenty of people off of your lake.
You have been an member of this board since 2009. Since then, you rarely contribute anything constructive. The majority of your posts are bashing "out of state" fishermen. You categorize people by where they live. You started out about 4 years ago accusing Missouri fishermen of taking crappie back to MO to sell because you said it was legal in MO. After I had to prove to you, by posting the Missouri Wildlife code, that it is no more legal to sell crappie in Missouri than it is in Mississippi, you still argued that I was wrong because "a G.W. friend of yours" told you so.
After you got off of that rant, you then went on to accuse out of state fishermen of following you around with binoculars, watching you catch fish and pushing you off of your spot.
Now, out of staters block the ramps and ditches so you cant fish your pecan orchard.
You say that you don't have problems with out of state fishermen but just about the only time you post is to complain about them.
Digger, when you first came on the board and began your rants about non resident fishermen, I sent you a pm and invited you to fish with me out of my boat. You declined.
That offer no longer stands!!!!
You will never change your attitude because it boils down to you look at people two different ways. Either you are a resident fisherman and belong there or you are a non resident and shouldn't be allowed.
Digger, I have fished in Mississippi for about 20 years now and have made many great friends there. Some of my best fishing buddies are from Mississippi.
I have also had my tires slashed and my truck paint keyed at the boat ramp because I had the wrong state license plates. It's attitudes like yours that cause these kinds of incidents. I'm not accusing you personally but there are still a few, who think like you, that would stoop to that level.
I know nothing I can say will ever change your mind and some of the things I want to say are not kid friendly, so I'll keep it off of the board.
Good fishing to you and if I ever see you on the water, let me know who you are so I can stay well away from YOUR fishing spot!!
Well said.

Very Well said. I have owned a place at Sardis for many years. Pay taxes etc. It still cost allot more to buy a nonresident hunting license in Ms. than it does in Mo. I have also met some of my closet friend in the great state of Ms. Some when I started come down here 20 plus years ago, locals we're like oh theres that guy from Mo. Now after meeting myself and my family, they have figured out I'm just a crappie fisherman just like them. And have became close friends.
