your right G folks can argue this forever it is what it is some believe alot go threw and other not so much
Had dinner with Dylan Williams, guy who does a lot of tagging and biology work on Enid and Sardis. I asked what he thought of the new regs. He said the regs are the best thing to happen and hopes the rest of lakes follow suit. They are over pressured, the fish can't keep up. We lose 20% of fish out of spillway, 15% to predation and natural death, and 45% to fishing. Just something to think about
spring/summer very little . extreme cold , count on it . have seen them dipped up with a net .
wish the state would stock the hybred crappie heavy in the c.o.e. lakes . there may not be enough food supply though .thats why they have biologist . jmo .
Yep! I was fishing Butla spillway 2 yrs ago when the stripes was runnin and while I was there a crappie a little over 2 lbs floated up right where I was standing and it was still alive.Ain't nobody in their right mind gonna put back a crappie that size and in the state it was in< I would say it had not swam up the river, It was barely flopping but gills were still working. I would say it came through the hole and got banged up!I was fishing a eddy just where it starts to get wider and the current was going back toward the dam.Just my opinion, no scientific fact though!
