makes me think--I was watching ship shape tv a couple of weekends ago and there is a prop company that makes a performance prop with rounded blades.
they put it in gear and got it running 1800 rpm or so and the dude put his arm up too it--didn't do a thing--they said it would actually push an arm or leg out of the way--it was wild but a VERY good idea.

    Hi Ya'll,

I was down there fishing with a group of fellas from Illinois and a couple of guys in our group helped this gentleman out. Story I got was that they were fishing the Redgrass area and this man was heading back across the lake to the Choctaw boat ramp when they heard a big boom and saw his boat going in circles. I believe he hit a stump and the force of the impact tossed him from the boat. They went to assist him and another local guy from down there get him out of harms way. They got a tourniquet on the leg with a belt and called 911. The dispatcher told them it would be 45 minutes for an ambulance so they called for a chopper to come and airlift him out. I read online that this gentleman has already had 1 surgery and will more than likely have another sugery come Monday or Tuesday. Sure hope he is ok, I've been following it as much I can from back here in Illinois.

It's a good thing he had his vest on, hard to imagine what could've happened if he didn't. Kudos to whomever else it was that helped this gentleman out, I believe the group of them probably saved this mans life. There are a lot of great people out there and this unfortunate incident just proves that fact.

Ya'll be careful out there and tight lines to ya!
