big boat will push stopped tires on a lighter truck. Does the trailer have surge brakes on it? trailer brakes make a huge difference.

Short answer: yes. Stopping u not gonna like. And be sure it's got the electronic rear diff lock or 4 wheel drive for off brand lakes like Chotard, Washington and Barnett. And make sure the hitch pin is secured before you take off too.

Not sure what kind of Toyota Andy Tackett had but he had a very bad experience with his at a boat ramp. You might want to talk to him before you buy.

Andy had a manual 2wd. I pulled my boat on the same ramp with no problem, although the day he had his issues there was a lot of sand on the ramp. Plus he got one of them wimpy rangerfied boats.

I would stick with a full size truck with no less than a v/8,4 wheel disks, and auto trans.Stopping all that glass real quick would be a priority!Does your trailer have electric brakes?Yota's are nice reliable trucks, but for towing a boat that size, I would have to go full size even if I were thinking Yota!Good luck in your search!

For what its worth, I have a 2011 Toyota Tacoma 4X4 with a 4 cyl automatic and pull a 20' WarEagle tandem trailer! The Toyota pulls it fine and the gas mileage is good too while pulling the boat. The only bad thing is stopping, LOL. So I don't tailgate and leave a lot of room between me and the car in front.
    The larger brakes sounds interesting!
