Well, the wife has come through again. She gave me the money to buy myself that Terrova (US2 and I-Pilot) I have been drooling over for the last year adn a half. (And no, Billbob, I dont think I should bring her to spring camp. Go find your own Fishin Momma),
I have a question, though......... What size tm do I need? I have a PolarKraft 175FF, aluminum boat. About 1400 lbs dry. Currently running a 45 lb motorguide (12volt) which usually pushes me around just fine. Wind over 15 mph becomes a real problem though. Will a 55 lb Terrova be enough for this boat? I know the consensus is gonna be "bigger is better," but I really dont want to buy more than I actually need. The difference tween the 55 and 80 would be about $350-$400 counting new wire and extra dc battery.
So....... What say you? And why do you say that?
