Dude, we had a top 20 recruiting class so we got some very good recruits. I just telling thuth. This class for TSUN has folks looking into it big time. Someones uncle got a $50000 new truck, cash AND hookers from Memphis were flowing on 2 different recruiting weekends. That's a fact. Alcohol was given to a many a 17 year old on those visits as well. Those things I know, days a fact, Jack

It's not really about crying over spilled milk so to speak because we were never in the running for Nkimdiche. Now if Jones would have flipped at the last second and TSUN tried hard to get him to come then we would have been pissed. The main reason they got Nkimdiche is because they signed his brother and don't think that they were not thinking about that when they signed him. Turns out the brother became a started and a top linebacker in the SEC which no one really expected or he would have had a lot of other offers so it worked out great for them and there is nothing wrong with doing that and a lot of school do it. Hell I am sure if MSU saw an opportunity to do it we would too. Personally I am happy for them. They got a great recruiting class and have brought a lot of national attention to MS. However I hope it is on the up and up because if it is no then they will bring twice as much negative attention.

Lets look at this a different way. If some baseball player comes out of no where and hits 50 HRs in a year and has been playing in the league for 5-10 years and has never done anything like that what is the first thing everyone is going to think? Man that boy put in a lot of hard work...? Nope you are going to say smells like steroids or PEDs or whatever you want to call them. Same is true on the recruiting front. If a 7 win team that has never been a national power all of a sudden puts up a top 5 recruiting class and beats out the two time national champs in recruiting him along with LSU and others and they get the top O-Lineman from out of state and the top WR from way out of state then what is everyone going to think???

exactly. There is money flowing into kids pockets. Not saying other schools don't do it but in this case it is a massive red flag. Only time will tell.

You must be a young feller. I can remember when OLE MISS was a national power. However, I don't recall State ever being one.

Yes sir I am relatively young but I do know of the coach Vault days. When I say National Power I don't mean they havent won a national championship. I mean they have not done it consistently or stayed at the top consistently. Auburn won a national title just recently but I would not call them a national power so to speak although they are more so than Ole Miss. I am talking about your USC, Texas, Flordia, Bama type programs that have stayed at or near the top for the majority of their existence. Sure they have had down years but they have won multiple titles with multiple coaches and if they are not winning they are in or around the top 10 almost every year and are in or around the top 10 in recruiting every year. That is not Ole Miss. A few glory years with one great coach is not the definition of a national power.

Like I said I hope it is all legit and I can completely see the Nkimdichie kid simply wanting to play with his brother. The next questions is the kid from Illinois. That is a baffler but hey Freeze may be a great recruiter. He has proved he is a good coach. Personally I think it is either luck that Nkimdichie's brother pained out and got yall his little brother and then Nkimdichie turned out to be a huge recruiter himself and pulled some of these kids in or lots and lot of money was exchanging hands or both. Only time will tell. If Freeze can get another #1 recruit next year or hte next and continue to put up top 5 classes then either he is awesome or money is flowing and if it is money eventually it will be caught. If it was just Nkimdichie being that big of a draw then TSUN recruiting will fall off and back in the top 30 the next 2 or 3 years in a row. Again time will tell.

You know? You must have been there when it happened? I suspect if all these MS boys can "know" about it, then the NCAA will surely be able to figure it out. Until then, you aint cheatin till you get caught.......

Default Odd smell coming out of Oxford today....

Can't rely on those guys from the NCAA tho. They are under the microscope right now themselves on some under the table actions they did themselves to uncover some colleges but didnt tie up all their loose ends.

Why don't they scrap college football. Just payum' to play in a minor league, if they make it pro they make it, if they don't, tough. They can save their money and go to college at nite if they think they need an education. I just bet college tuition would be a lot cheaper without those big stadiums and everything that goes with them.

Maybe because football brings in ALL the money. Football programs revenue funds all the other (women's) sports.
