    Default Crappie logic jigs

I know several of you guys swear by them, I stopped in at the dam store on my way to Sardis today saw them on the wall and decided to pick up a few packs. I think i recall seeing someone post that they are meant to be tipped with a minnow, are you supposed to use any kind of weight with them? Split shot? Egg weight similar to Carolina rigged? How do yall fish them?

Did you buy the jigs or the gnats?

I think the gnats. The ones I got are tied on jig hooks with no lead.

Ok, the gnats are supposed to be used with trolling rigs. Like a Capps and Coleman rig and then tipped with a minnow.

They add a little color and flash to just a bare hook. They work very well everywhere I have used them, from Sardis to the Ten-Tom Waterway

Thanks for the info. I left them in the tackle box today cause I didnt know what to do with them. I should have tried them out I was trolling Capps and Coleman riggs and not having much luck. We got out there around 1:30-2:00 after the rain had passed, we figured the rain had turned them off. Maybe the gnats would have made a difference. We fished about 3 hours and all we caught was 1 white bass, had a couple other bites but otherwise it was pretty slow.

Souds like the tournament guys did a lot better than we did, we saw all the boats but they started leaving within about an hour of us launching. We fished about the same general area they had been fishing after they moved out but we didnt have any luck at all.
