Thread: Evinrude E-tec 115 HO

Anybody have any info or thoughts or reviews on this motor? Looking to maybe upgrade next spring and would like some info on THIS motor. Plenty of info on Yamaha and Mercury already but curious what thoughts if any on this motor. Thanks

Bwahahaha.....I have no personal experiance with these motors but have heard some horrible ones. Seems the smaller hp ones were running good but the bigger hps ones were not holding together very well.

All I know is I heard they is fassssssssttttt!

Think about the only evinrude I have seen recently that I know of is the evinrude bluegill has. Everything else including his boat is pimp so I figured it couldn't be all bad. Plus I think the white motor looks cool Been noticing lots of the big bass guys running them lately and I was just curious.

I've only had mine for a few months, but I am very happy with it. Its quiet and runs like a scalded dog. That being said, I probably would have went with a Merc or Yammie if I had the choice. The boat was a demo and the E-Tec is what it had on it. I know they had some issues in the past, but from what I have read and heard from others, that seems to have been resolved. I gots a five year warranty, hopefully I don't have to use it.
